The Science
Chapter 7 | Key Ingredients
Our product line is loaded with the following key premium vitamins and derivatives, some of which are time released, which work as a team, complementing one another:

Ergothioneine

In a class of its own, this super antioxidant is more potent than Vitamin C. It is a highly expensive and powerful botanical amino acid with potent antioxidant activity that aids the skin in repair from UV damage. It scavenges oxygen radicals and binds elemental metals that produce radicals. It also helps supply the cellular power stations with fatty acids to convert to energy, thus increasing efficiency of burning oxygen. Ergothioneine is natural component in the human body and is also found in the red blood cells where it protects hemoglobin from oxidation.

Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate

This is considered to be one of today’s most dynamic natural skin care ingredients. A skin whitener, it is also a stable and powerful anti-oxidant and water-soluble Vitamin C derivative. It effectively inhibits melanin formation and also plays a key role in collagen formation. It acts directly inside the cells and inhibits free radical damage. Helps prevent dry skin, sunburns and hyperpigmentation. The intended result is skin appearing smoother, brighter, firmer, more even toned, younger and healthier! It significantly improves skin color and texture and helps skin that has been damaged by the environment. It has a neutral pH, which is tolerated well by all skin types. It is stable and soluble, offering better penetration. Also works in great synergy with Vitamin E, prolonging the expected life of a cell.

Vitamin C Ester (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate)

This is one of the most important and essential vitamins in the building of strong, healthy, rejuvenated skin. It stimulates the dermis to produce collagen, vital to the skin in the war against aging, and also helps stimulate wound healing. Recent scientific research shows that Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that is capable of preventing and even reversing the effects of aging. C-Ester is the most stable form of vitamin C, with timed-release properties and better cellular uptake. Most other types of Vitamin C are so unstable that much of the potency is gone after the first month of sitting in a bottle or jar. Although a highly expensive form of vitamin C, this Vitamin C Ester retains up to 90% of its Vitamin C for up to 2 years. When you apply it, it sends concentrations of stable Vitamin C directly into your skin, effectively penetrating through many skin layers.

  • Helps increase synthesis of collagen and stimulates fibroblasts.
  • Heals skin and reduces inflammation and allergic reactions.
  • Protects against ultraviolet rays
Vitamin E (Tocopheryl) Acetate

This is the superstar of antioxidant vitamins. Hailed as the “radical protector,” this ingredient works as a great team with Vitamin C, reinforcing it to absorb and fight against free radicals. It is a lipid soluble vitamin (meaning it likes fat better than water). Current research also shows that vitamins C and E help protect and shield the skin against the sun’s damaging ultraviolet rays. Our moisturizers and products are loaded with these essential vitamins. Tocopheryl Acetate is a potent and premium form of Vitamin E. It is protective of the skin, providing significant antioxidant protection against sun damage, helping the skin against redness, swelling, promoting skin repair and healing. Helps to protect and insulate skin from wrinkles and signs of aging. An extremely effective moisturizer.

Vitamin A (Retinyl Palmitate)

This ingredient is the ester of pure Vitamin A and palmitic acid. Some Vitamin A forms can make the skin photosensitive to the sun. We use Retinyl Palmitate, the royalty of Vitamin A forms, which helps protect the skin against irritation. It is gentler, but powerfully effective. This is a corrective vitamin that promotes skin elasticity, normalizes dry and photo-damaged skin, increases firmness and reduces dryness. Spurs healthy cell growth and nutrient delivery to skin tissues. This rich antioxidant vitamin is easily absorbed through the skin and is essential for epidermal tissue maintenance and repair. It is an excellent skin-cell regulator, fighting free radicals, helping to stimulate essential collagen production. Softens, smooths, normalizes skin. We use safe levels of this vitamin in our eye creams combined with our powerful anti aging complex to powerfully attack wrinkles and diffuse fine lines. Its anti-aging effectiveness is enhanced when combined with Vitamin E.

Vitamin B1 (Panthenyl Triacetate)

This is a vital ingredient in skin care. Vitamin B helps with skin color and tone. A deficiency of Vitamin B can cause pale, fatigued, dry and itchy skin. It is used by the skin to help produce energy within the cells, promoting skin respiration, collagen formation, regulating metabolic functions and skin cell health. It decreases tendency towards blemishes, prevents extreme oiliness and scaly skin and dermatitis.
